I and 2 friends drove 1500 miles to fish with Capt. Shawn to escape SD winter weather the last week in Feb. We knew weather could be a factor as a major storm hit north of New Orleans. Capt Shawn convinced us to stay a couple extra days to allow the weather to settle done. It paid off. Fishing got better each day resulting in over 65 bull reds , many over 20 lb -35 lbs. Biggest was a 46 long X 27 girth monster which the redfish formula on the internet calculated out at a whooping 42.92 Lbs. Capt Shawn also lined up and offshore trip for us that produced three yellow fin 126, 120, & 101 lbs plus numerous black fin tuna, wahoo, amber jack, and king mackeral. What impressed me the most was how hard Capt Shawn worked to find the huge bull reds. Great trip !! I’m taking another group down next winter. Thanks for working hard in tough conditions to make this one of the most enjoyable trips I’ve had, Capt. Shawn!!

Had such a great time fishing with Captain Shawn, we are already planning another trip. Not only was it a successful outing, Shawn provided the perfect recipe for redfish on the bbq. Highly recommend Captain Shawn and Fish On Guide Service!

This is the second trip that I have taken with Fish on, and on both occasions it has been the best guided trip that I have been on. On both trips the quality and quantity of fish have exceed my expectations. Capt Shawn is a knowledgeable and helpful guide.I took two of my brothers along this trip, and they were very pleased.

My brother Mark and I fished with Shawn in late August. We had a great 2 day trip, boated 42, the biggest was 32lbs. We will definitely be back.

I have fished with Captain Shawn for the past 3 years. He and his wife Leila run a great lodge with great accommodation. I personally have caught a red fish each of the past 3 years over 30 lbs. with a 34 pounder this year. We also caught triple tail this year thanks to Shawn in 13-16 lb. range. We are used to fishing Texas Coast but This was a fishing trip of a life time! We stayed in the brick house and we were very pleased with the entire trip!!!! Thanks Laila and Shawn for the best fishing trip of my life!

Had a fishing trip of a life time, with Fish-On Guide service… Captain Shawn had up on the Redfish all three day we fished. If I remember right the smallest Red we caught was 13lbs and my Mother caught the wooper 31lbs.. All 3 of us caught fish all day long. Averaged 15 to 25 fish per-person … and let me tell you my arms were sore… Great place and even Greater people. Thanks for providing a great time and my mom got to cross out item off her bucket list and it was a awesome birthday present for myself… Highest recommendations for Fish-On…..

We had a BLAST.!!!! Our fishing involved 35mph winds, but our Captain Johnny, did EVERYTHING he possibly could to get us fish. HE DID.!! WE will most definitely be going back.. Also the lodging was luxurious.!!! MY husband, our friend and I had wonderful time.

My buddy and I got back from an awesome fishing trip for Bull Reds. I highly recommend Fish On Guide Service because I was constantly yelling “Fish On.” The fishing was great, the accommodations were wonderful, the price was reasonable, and Shawn/Leila were gracious, friendly hosts. It’s the accumulation of a bunch of little things that add to a great fishing trip (besides catching 44 Bull Reds my first day with my largest on the trip at 32lbs). Shawn always initiated my frayed lure change, popper change, rod change to make sure I optimized my fishing. I didn’t have to say anything. He would say “let’s fly you first class” when my plastic lure would get frayed and he would change to a fresh lure. He always had a great attitude when it came to my birds nest to work through. He would hand me a new rod to use. He also had patience with us trying odd lures or my buddy using a fly rod but I always came back to the popping cork. I would definitely recommend Fish On. me and 2 fishing buds booked 3 days with fish on guide service in october 2017 and the fishing and weather was great all 3 days. first day we hooked over 60 bull reds and capt shawn netted over 50 of them ranging from 15 lbs to 32 lbs. what a fantastic day of fishing. days 2 and 3 were also great days with netting over 30 bull reds in the bays and then went to the river for some slot reds to finish filling the coolers. the lodge was top shelf also and i have been in a few in my 30 plus years of fishing excursions all over the U.S.A. and beyond. we will going back again , hopefully sooner than later. thank you capt shawn and leila for a fantastic experience in southern louisiana. best to you, steve.

Oct 31-November 4 Have fish all over the world and not ever ran into a more hospitable, clean professional operation. superb accommodations ,excellent fishing for slots and bull Redfish, with average of 50 hookups a day with numerous 18-25lb releases. This cowboy from Colorado will be back. I rank it 5 Star

My wife, daughter and I had a fantastic time with Captain Shawn on the Friday after Thanksgiving while we were in South Louisiana visiting family. The frontal conditions weren’t ideal but Captain Shawn ran new water, had us mix up techniques and worked hard to put us on fish. All said and done, it ended up being an awesome day of fishing, catching quality bull reds practically non-stop for the final couple hours of the day. As a tournament bass angler, one thing I really appreciated was that Capt. Shawn runs premium gear, including high-quality rods, reels, line, popping corks, lures and terminal tackle. This all adds to the customers’ success and an all-around enjoyable experience. Thank you for a memorable day of fishing and I can’t wait to come back for an extended day trip!
